The DEAL training course took place in the beautiful city of Turin, Italy. From 4th to 8th April, the partners and the cooperating adult educators joined together to test and go through the developed learning approach.
The focus was on the design-based collaborative learning approach (see video), which was an essential element for the participants. Three pilot projects and prototypes were developed in small groups and presented at the end of the week.
The DEAL training covered the theoretical background of design thinking and complemented with practical insight and tools for digital storytelling.
The workshop session also allowed us to immediately applied what was shared in the input session and turned those knowledge into skills.
One of the working groups used their prototype to develop a pilot project for a mental health programme for private companies. The results of this pilot project “Change IN mind” had already reached a solid status and are already emerging as having the potential to become a fully functional prototype or even a project.
The excursion to the “Open Air Art Museum” was also inspiring as it showcased the use of AR to promote street arts. (https://mauamuseum.com/)
